Individual therapy
A confidential place to talk and think, individual counseling provides a non-judgmental space for you to work for wellness. Everyone can benefit from time for themselves. Families and couples need help communicating, people can feel stuck or are grieving, adolescents feel anxiety or depression, parents need assistance, and anyone who is adjusting to life's many transitions need tools. I enjoy working with people who feel they need a nudge out of a tough spot or a nudge into something new. Using strength based therapy and emotionally focus discussion, we can move through tougher moments.
Young adults and adolescents need a non-judgmental person of confidence, often removed from their families and friends, to unload concerns and with whom to walk through concerns and options. These years hold their very unique challenges and individual counseling offers an important space for growth and self-discovery.
Working with children, I use play therapy and art therapy to develop trust and open up channels of communication where they feel safe to express their emotions and confusions. I also use children's books to introduce hard topics to talk through with the children.

Grieving can be isolating, confusing and dark.
I have experience working with children and adults to process the many levels of the emotions of grief. The many areas of change are overwhelming and the period of mourning makes us feel raw and vulnerable. For children as well as for adults, grief can bring many questions and fears about the future, and other relationships in our lives.
